A Child's View: Rooms Designed Just for Kids (What's Up Annapolis)
For some people decorating a child's room seems like a dream come true – you can be a kid again and use your imagination. For others it seems like a nightmare – What? My kid has an opinion?
For those of you in the latter category don't throw in the towel just yet. In fact, hang that towel on a rod and call it a window treatment!  There's no limit to the creative things you can do when decorating a child's room. With national companies spawning specialty stores such as Bombay Kids, Pier 1 Kids and Pottery Barn Kids, there's a plethora of ideas and resources as close as your local mall (and mailbox).
"Design doesn't have to be scary," says HGTV's Kidspace designer Valerie Thwing, who designs bedrooms, nurseries and play spaces for children. "In fact, it can be a lot of fun."

Liz LaFoe Alumni Profile (Florida GATOR)
Liz LaFoe doesn’t sing opera. And that’s about the only thing she doesn’t do. The UF nursing alumna currently resides in Missouri working part time as a registered nurse in the emergency room and as a sexual assault nurse examiner (SANE) at University of Missouri Health Care. She also happens to be in law school at the University of Missouri (on the deans’ list), is writing her second novel, volunteers as a Big Sister with Big Brothers Big Sisters of America and is volunteering her (limited) time to helping set up a shelter for human trafficking victims. She admits that it is a lot for one person.
“Right now, I’m working on trying to find a balance and still keep doing what I’m doing,” she laughs...

Clutter-free Closets (What's Up Annapolis)
[opening music] Theme from “Jaws”
[opening scene] You’re about to open your closet.
Does this sound like a script for your household closet organization? If so, read on.
Closets have doors for a reason – we need them to store all of the things that we don’t want laying around the house. However, if you can no longer shut your closet door or if bucket loads come crashing down on you when you open it; it’s time to tackle the daunting task of organizing your closets. But wait! It doesn’t have to be an intimidating task, say organizing experts. You just need to change your attitude, set aside a block of time, and get organizing.
